Funny that I chose (and ended up with) shades of blue since I actually don’t prefer this color at all. But, it took a Christmas wrapper to inspire me! And somehow, these colors seemed like the right fit -- and appropriate for a winter wedding.
The colors are truly winter wonderland cool. Brace yourself, I have total of five colors! Two of the colors are the main shades while the other three are just complementary. I could give you the colors’ typical names but, for these purposes, I’ll just use the names as given by David’s Bridal.
MAIN COLOR 1: Pool. This blue is similar to Tiffany Blue.
MAIN COLOR 2: Malibu. This blue is a bit darker and akin to Turquoise.
SECONDARY COLOR 1: White.
SECONDARY COLOR 2: Silver/Gray.
ACCENT COLOR: Peach.
If you’re wondering why the peach (orange sherbet) color is there, I chose it because it’s in homage to my parents’ wedding colors. They chose a tangerine when they married in 1975. When I was a kid, I actually found that color unappealing until I became an adult and found it to be kinda retro cool! So, the peach is there to honor my first and favorite couple and example of true love: my parents!
So when you look around on the wedding day, you’ll get a sense of why I chose the colors that I did!
